Ramona Nieuwenhuisen’s own collection of limited edition artworks is at the heart of her work. Occasionally, she takes on a project or collaboration that feels right for her, when time allows.
This selection brings together portraits, artworks for interiors and cultural projects, with photographs and the stories behind them.
BEPPIE & SJENG KRAFT
A pair of portraits celebrating Beppie Kraft’s 80th birthday and honouring her father, Sjeng Kraft.
Commissioned by Provincie Limburg on behalf of Governor Emile Roemer, who unveiled the work together with Beppie and presented it to her as a gift from the province.
PAVONE — BAR ELLO — VAN DER VALK VENLO
A commissioned artwork for Bar Ello at Van der Valk Venlo, created in collaboration with Galerie Ptah.
Inspired by the interior’s colours and wallpaper, realised on velvet with embroidered gold-thread details and a gold frame.
VASTELAOVEND IN LIMBURG
In 2024, Ramona was commissioned to create the official artwork for the Vastelaovend in Limburg poster.
Commissioned by Provincie Limburg, Dagblad De Limburger and the Sjeng Kraft Kompenei. The artwork brought together Ramona’s visual language with the colour, emotion and traditions of Limburg’s carnival culture.
ZOMERPARKFEEST
A special edition of eleven artworks, commissioned by chairman Manpreet Gill as a year-end gift for the festival’s board members.
A long summer evening in the park, captured on leather and finished with gold leaf.
OZZE OVERST
Ramona was invited to create an exclusive artwork for Ozze Overst, the special cuvée produced by Landgoed Overst in South Limburg.
The artwork became the basis for the wine label and was inspired by the atmosphere of the estate, the grape harvest and the character of the wine. Flowers, grapes, insects and refined details come together in a rich contemporary still life.
GROOT VENLOSE ADVENTKALENDER
A festive design featuring Venlo’s town hall inside a snow globe, created for the 2024 Groot Venlose Adventkalender.
An initiative by Kiwanis Venlo Fides, supporting local charities and projects that help children.
MAGIC FOREST — STEVEN STOFFELS
Album cover design for Steven Stoffels’ orchestral fantasy score, inspired by the atmosphere and mystery of his music.
An enchanted forest brought to life through twisting branches, deep colours and warm points of light.
MIYABI — HEALTHCARE
A serene landscape created for the flexible wall of Healthcare’s meeting room. Commissioned through Galerie Ptah, the artwork draws on the interior’s colours, materials and atmosphere.
TOEKAN & APPELMOES — VAN DER VALK VENLO
Three large-scale artworks for the conference and meeting rooms, created in collaboration with Galerie Ptah. Two toucans in green and gold and a playful bowl of applesauce connect the art with the room names and the hotel’s interior.
RESTAURANT ZEST — VAN DER VALK VENLO
Large-scale artworks for the renewed Restaurant Zest, created in collaboration with Galerie Ptah. Ava, Nova, Boudoir, Papillon, Sakura and Geisha bring Ramona’s visual language into the restaurant’s interior.
