Ramona Nieuwenhuisen is a contemporary fine artist from the Netherlands.
Her work is an ode to women, celebrating their strength through layered
portraits in which femininity takes centre stage.
With a background in graphic design, she brings together photography,
digital painting and traditional craftsmanship. Flowers, rich textures
and hand-finished details surround her subjects, creating a balance
between softness and strength.
Ramona combines photographic imagery with digital painting and drawing,
building each composition layer by layer. Through colour, texture and
carefully considered details, she shapes the images into her own
artistic world.
The composition is then produced as a fine art print on carefully
selected materials, including leather texture and felt. Ramona
finishes each piece herself by hand, adding paint, gold leaf and
other details directly to the surface.
Her artworks are released in limited editions. Subtle variations
in the hand-applied details give each piece its own character,
making every artwork individual within the edition.
Ramona’s artworks are represented by selected galleries in the
Netherlands and can be found in private and commercial interiors
both in the Netherlands and internationally.
