ZOMERPARKFEEST
Eleven artworks for the board of Zomerparkfeest in Venlo, created by Ramona Nieuwenhuisen as a year-end gift. A festival she knows as a visitor, captured on leather and finished with gold leaf.
Zomerparkfeest, seen by a regular visitor
Chairman Manpreet Gill asked Ramona to make an artwork for the festival’s board members, to be given at their gathering in December 2025. Ramona regularly visits Zomerparkfeest herself, so the setting was familiar: the park, the stages and the people spending a summer evening together.
She brought the festival tents, Ferris wheel and stage lights into one composition, with groups of people beneath the trees. The result is a small scene with plenty to recognise for the people who help organise the festival.
Eleven works, finished by hand
The Zomerparkfeest commission was made as a one-off edition of eleven artworks. Each was produced on leather, finished with gold leaf and framed behind museum glass. The photographs below show the surface up close, alongside the certificate of authenticity and signed reverse.
